Abhisheka Jwala is an online community with a singular purpose: to spread the Good News to the ends of the earth. Our name, which translates to "anointing fire," reflects our mission to ignite faith and hope in the hearts of people everywhere. We are a digital ministry built on the foundation of the Great Commission, answering the call to "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation" (Mark 16:15).
Our journey began in response to the modern-day challenge of a secularized world and a growing "eclipse of the sense of God," as identified by Pope Benedict XVI. With the establishment of the Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization, we recognized the urgent need to use modern tools to reach those who have not yet heard the Gospel. This led us to embrace online media—the internet, social media, and smartphones—as our primary vehicles for evangelization. We believe that technology is a powerful and essential means to overcome geographical barriers and bring the light of faith directly to people's homes and lives.
Our Mission: To bear witness to the Good News by reaching the unreached. We are committed to using every available tool to share the love of God with diverse language communities, fulfilling our inheritance to possess "the nations as your inheritance and the ends of the earth as your own possession" (Psalms 2:8).
Our Vision: To make the Good News accessible to everyone, everywhere. We envision a global network of prayer communities and believers connected through online platforms, all working together to spread the message of Christ. Our ultimate goal is for "their sound to go out into all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world" (Romans 10:18), creating a truly global family of faith.
Our work is centered around three key pillars that enable us to effectively minister in the digital age.
1. DIVERSE LANGUAGE OUTREACH: We believe the Gospel is most powerful when it's heard in one's own language. We currently offer our ministry to English, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam-speaking communities. This is more than a translation effort; it's a commitment to creating culturally relevant content that resonates deeply with each audience. We continuously seek to expand our linguistic reach, ensuring that more people can engage with the message of faith in a personal and meaningful way.
2. VIRTUAL PRAYER COMMUNITIES: We've built vibrant online communities where believers can connect, share, and grow together. Our online groups provide a space for support, encouragement, and shared prayer, particularly for those who may not have access to a local church. These communities serve as digital homes for spiritual growth, fostering a sense of belonging and unity among a global family of faith.
3. ACCESSIBLE ONLINE RETREATS: We offer a variety of online retreats to provide powerful spiritual renewal from the comfort of your home. These retreats include live teachings, guided prayer, and personal reflection sessions. Our offerings are tailored to specific needs, including NRI Retreats for non-resident Indians and specialized retreats for those in India and the Middle East. For those who desire an in-person experience, we also offer Residential Stay-In Retreats, providing a blend of traditional and modern ministry.
Abhisheka Jwala is more than a website; we are a community dedicated to a renewed evangelization for a new era. We invite you to join us on this journey to spread the joy of the Gospel to every corner of the earth.
On establishing The Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization by Pope Benedict XVI at vespers on 28 June 2010, eve of the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, to carry out the New Evangelization, the pope said that "the process of secularisation has produced a serious crisis of the sense of the Christian faith and role of the Church", and the new pontifical council would "promote a renewed evangelisation" in countries where the Church has long existed "but which are living a progressive secularisation of society and a sort of ''eclipse of the sense of God''." On June 29, 2013, Pope Francis released a related apostolic exhortation Evangelii gaudium (English: The Joy of the Gospel) on "the church''s primary mission of evangelization in the modern world".[17] In its opening paragraph, Pope Francis urged the entire Church "to embark on a new chapter of evangelism". New media tools such as the internet, social media and smartphones are being used as vehicles for expressing the new evangelization.Media organizations are using the new media and social media to promote the work of evangelization. New evangelisation poses great opportunities in fact it is only means to reach out to the ends of the world to accomplish the great commission given by our Lord, our Master.
